- Om arrangementet
In November COP29 will convene in Baku with the aim to enhance action and implementation over this critical decade and keep the Paris agreement goal of 1.5°C within reach.
In order to meet this vital goal various regulatory demands has been launched and implemented in the EU. Existing and new industries needs to transform the way they operate, develop and adapt to new technolgies and at the same time build solid businesses that can both deliver a sound profit and employe people.
Is this possible while still keeping energy production in line with human rights, social rights and environmental regulations?
With us we have Heidi Hautala, recently stepped down as vice-president of the European Parliament. She was one of the mothers of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, CSDDD, and she knows EU-regulations at core.
Dr. Hinrich Thölken, former climate ambassafor for climate for German and presently vice-president Sustainability for Europe in CapGemini, based in Berlin, will also participate with his knowledge. Is it possible to foster human and socialrights so they are sufficiently mandatory and still manage real change in our energy systems?
